WORD
Guide my steps by your word, so I will not be overcome by evil. Psalm 119:133
THOUGHT
The Word of God is reliable. The steps of those who read, listen to, and obey it are guided by insight and foresight. Those who follow in the steps of God’s leading are guided with strength, endurance, and proven principles. His way is one of purity and righteousness. These steps are firmly planted in mercy, truth, and compassion. These steps leave imprints of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Fully guided by the Word of God, these steps lead away from the intentions of evil. They are steps chosen and ordained by God and empowered by the Holy Spirit, and they overcome evil’s attempt to cause stumbling and blunder.
PRAYER
Father, yours are the steps which lead to life. I long to closely follow you in everything I do. Amen.
But rescue us from the evil one.
